The ultimate focal issues of the Lexington Project for the PLTS faculty turned out to be:
• Developing a clearer sense of identity and purpose as a faculty, rather than as a collection of teachers
• Visioning the preparation needs for Lutheran leaders of the future
• Re-designing PLTS’s M.Div. curricular strategy to better meet those needs
These issues have become very important to the PLTS faculty, but the road to being able to engage them was a rocky one. The PLTS faculty is very grateful for having had the opportunity to participate in the Lexington seminar. It came at just the right time. Although we were already tasked with re-thinking and renewing who we are and how we do things at PLTS, we were having some difficulty making much progress toward that end.
