Description
Gettysburg chose to situate its project within one of the eight future directions outlined in the seminary’s strategic plan: “Address multiculturalism and become a more diverse campus community.” In this context, the faculty’s project involved designing a common experience in a school setting where the majority of faculty and students were persons of color. The faculty will visit the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) and the Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta (LTCA). This three-day event will form the base on which to reflect on what is required for the Gettysburg faculty to move forward in implementing the commitment to multiculturalism and teaching and learning for ministry.
