PLTS proposed a project entitled A Faculty Reforming, designed to help faculty become teachers who will form particular types of students. The goals of the project were to (1) develop a clearer sense of identity and purpose as a faculty, rather than as a collection of teachers; (2) develop interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship; (3) contribute to an ongoing curriculum review; and (4) establish conversation that will become an integral part of the school’s life in the years ahead. Activities included (1) regular Wednesday morning faculty discussions and presentations on how faculty teach contextually, (2) a faculty retreat, (3) proposals for interdisciplinary courses, and (4) planned conversations with other Lexington Seminar partners.
