Calvin focused its efforts on the question, “How can we refine a classical, Reformed, theological curriculum to provide more effective teaching for contemporary pastors?” They decided to use the grant to establish a more vigorous relationship with alumni. First, they created a survey document to periodically and systematically gather information about how graduates view their level of preparation for ministry. Second, the faculty planned a retreat to discuss the initial survey results. Third, Calvin hired a coach to improve the quality of teaching, think through survey results, and help make any other necessary changes.
