McCormick Theological Seminary : 2000 Seminar
Newsbrief
Dean of the Faculty and VP of Academic Affairs David Esterline writes, “Plans for our faculty retreat were realized on September 12-14, 2001. It was a remarkable time, not only for the issues addressed and the stories heard, but also for the time together immediately following the events of September 11. It was important for us to be together to worship and to talk about our common calling. Following the retreat we documented our time and met to review what we had heard and how our learnings might be woven into the design of our new masters level curriculum and be available for the revisioning of our D.Min. programs. Looking back, I notice that time is often mentioned and specific issues from those conversations are regularly considered, especially as part of the strategic planning process that is now underway.”
